The project Management software should facilitate
1.Creation of a work-breakdown structure dividing a project in to various tasks with assignments to resources
2.Ability to define relationship between tasks like Start to finish, finish to start and Finish to finish
3.Identify milestones in a project with approvals of milestones
4.Ability to create standard templates with attributes like Name of the
project, Budgeted amount, Project manager, standard rates etc, and link
it with a project
5.Ability to update the progress of a task as % complete by the agency
after approval by the project manager assigned for the project
6.Ability to upload inspection reports, quality reports, photographs, documents, notes to be associated with a task or milestone
7.Baseline the project and monitor the progresses with respect to task
completion times and generate alerts if the progress falls below the
expected value
8.Track the payments and provide various reports like Tasks delayed,
Tasks completed, Likely Finish date etc. on the progress of the
project9. Keep track of the people who work on various tasks in a
project and generate performance reports based on the quality of work
they have done The project should have properly documented, user
friendly help options because the end user who will make use of this
system may not be a computer literate |
